Sun Valley, Idaho is a year-round mountain ski resort known for great winter skiing, blue bird days with no lift lines. NEVER ENDING SUMMER DAYTIME ACTIVITIES 

HIKING: Hiking is an endless staple activity in Sun Valley. Use this guide to plan a closer-to-town hike or an all-day adventure.

In-town favorites: White Clouds Loop (trail head across the street from The Sun Valley Lodge on Sun Valley Road), Proctor Mountain and Bald Mountain Trail.

Closer-to-town favorites: Adams Gulch,Taylor Canyon, Fox Creek and Chocolate Gulch.

Worth-the-drive favorites: Pioneer Cabin, Kane Lake and Baker Lake.

BIKING:

Path and Family Biking: The Wood River Trail a 20+ mile paved, multi-use, year-round path that provides a non-motorized connection between the Wood River Valley communities of Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley.

Mountain Biking: Sun Valley has some of the best mountain biking trails around. No crowds, well maintained, killer views, loads of fun.  Use this guide to explore all levels and all terrain. 30 minutes north of town you will find Galena Lodge with bike rentals and instruction.

SKATEBOARDING: Check-out Guy Cole’s Skateboard Park in Ketchum  (Warm Springs Road and Saddle Rd) and The Hailey Skate Park (Main Street and Aviation Way).

SWIMMING: Lakes, rivers and pools. Let nature cool you off here, dip in a pool here.

FLY FISHING: Sun Valley is known for its world-renowned fly fishing. Plan your day here. Silver Creek Outfitters and Lost River Outfitters will get you all set-up.

ICE SKATING: Sun Valley resort is knowns for its year around outdoor ice rink. It is never too hot to skate in the summer. Before you go please check out Sun Valley's hours and rental information.

PARAGLIDING:Want a thrill?...check-out paragliding off the top of Bald Mountain with Fly Sun Valley Paragliding.

SPORT SHOOTING:There are two locations in the valley for sports shooting. The Sun Valley Resort has their range on Sun Valley Rd a mile from the resort property. Mid valley you will find the Hurtig Shooting Center, open 5 days a week, Wed-Sun 10 am to 5 pm. 

HORSEBACK RIDING: In-town riding is easy through The Sun Valley Stables. Enjoy a beautiful drive North of town and check-out Pioneer Outfitters near Galena Lodge.

WAGON RIDES:Iconic Galena Lodge holds a Wagon Ride and BBQ every Thursday night. 

BOATING:Beautiful and historic Redfish Lodge (60 mins north in Stanley) is a must see. Rent boats, swim, eat, hike......

GOLF:The Sun Valley Resort is known for its beautiful golf courses, White Clouds Course, Trail Creek Course and Elkhorn Course never disappoint. One mile North of town is the 9 hole Big Wood Golf Course. Call them at (208) 726-4024.

SPA:Zenergy Health Club and Spa is a private health club who's Spa is open to the public. The Sun Valley Resort's Spa offers many luxury services.

YOGA:Gather Yoga in downtown Ketchum offers punch cards for their classes. 

HOT SPRINGS:Follow Warm Springs Road out of town to 1080 Warm Springs Rd to enjoy a local favorite. Easley Hot Springs (north of town) has a family friendly hot spring pool and soaking tubs, daily use fees apply.

CONCERTS:Live outdoor music events are a great way to spend your evening. Check out the Sun Valley Music Festival, The City of Ketchum holds Ketch'em Alive every Tuesday evening at The Forest Service Park, and Fridays you will find Music In Town Square from 5-7 pm.  The Sun Valley Museum of Art holds summer outdoor concerts.
